Walking away from rough tenants

Walking away from rough tenants

A few years ago, I bought a home for the purpose of creating a rental income.

  • I invested into a brand new family room and bathroom.

I devoted hours to landscaping, painting and cleaning. I took my time interviewing potential renters and was very triumphant with my choice, however shortly after the tenants moved in, I started to have complications, then they failed to keep up with lawn careā€¦ Garbage began to pile up on the porch. They were always late with the rent! Eventually, they quit paying altogether. I then attempted to complete an eviction process. It was a nightmare. The tenants refused to pay rent and refused to leave. They were obviously causing disfigurement to the property. It was becoming increasingly run down and losing value. The stress was keeping me awake at night and causing migraine headaches and an ulcer. I just wanted to unload the complications on someone else. I looked around online and came across a money apartment buyer. I was surprised when I discovered that a money buyer will take on a problematic property. They make an offer for the home as-is. They handle strenuous tenants, failure to pass inspections and all sorts of complications that prevent a conventional sale through a real estate agent and a realtor. It took me less than five minutes to complete the online form. I was relieved that there was no obligation involved. I could simply turn down the offer separate from investing any money. I was given an offer in a matter of hours, and it was adequate. It was such a relief to complete the closing process in less than two weeks.
